Apple!

MLS's godmummy's, (the kindest girl I known), boyfriend bought this apple t-shirt for her from his business trip in the states. Thanks both of you! Here's MLS wearing the pink t-shirt and eating an apple. Keekee, anyone missed the punchline?? Yupz, its lame, but Apple's sooooooo cool now, with all the Iphone and Mac Air craze; though I still have grudges about the very HFS about it. I don't understand!!

Little Notes

MLS graduated from Crestar's little notes yesterday. Most of the time when she's in the little notes' class, she was super uncooperative BUT yesterday she went out and performed in the "graduation concert"; much to my surprise. Subsequently, the other parents and her teacher Esther also voiced their astonishment. I was so touched that MLS was such a good girl this day. It sure made sending her to and fro classes during all those sleep-deprived days fruitful.

Chloe in yukata

I adore my little ger. She's so cute wearing the yukata and running around the house; up and down the stairs. Am going to get more such cultural clothing and let her wear before she gets too big then cannot do so cute stuffs with her le.Here's another recent one with her daddy pig and favourite spoon. She's always bringing these 2 around.

MLS's 3rd Birthday

MLS celebrated her birthday 3 times this year .. The first celebration was a day before the actual day in her kindergarten.

The 2nd celebration was in a hotel room, together with her adoring godmummy and "yiyis". Pity 2 of the "yiyis" couldnt make it else it'll be a great reunion.

The next day, we celebrated with the family.

Building Tomcat

Unexpectedly, this turned out to be rather troublesome.

1) Got to install JDK 5.0, not the latest 6.0; it just won't work.
2) Got to set environment JAVA_HOME to point to jdk1.5.xxx\lib directory. But purely doing this didnt work for me too ... needed to copy and paste tools.jar from the jdk1.5.xxx\lib to jre1.5.xxx\lib; totally jinxed..
3) Install Ant1.7; set ANT_HOME to point at the Ant1.7 directory and add Ant1.7\bin into the PATH system variable. This works like a charm.
4) To build tomcat, use a command prompt and navigate to tomcat directory where you see the build.xml file. Run the command <>
a couple of clinches here: 1st, make sure you are connected to the web;
2nd, if the error C:\apache-tomcat-6.0.14-src\build.xml:635: Can't get http://sunsite.informatik.rwth-aachen.de/eclipse/downloads/drops/R-3.2.2-200702121330/eclipse-JDT-3.2.2.zip to C:\usr\share\java\file.zip, download it manually by going to http://archive.eclipse.org/eclipse/downloads/drops/R-3.2.2-200702121330/eclipse-JDT-3.2.2.zip

5) There!! Tomcat is built successfully at last!

Being an adult

Is it age or it's the norm to be faced with MORE dilemmas? My father-in-law has this brother who took his liberty to park at our gate area whenever he came to the area. There are tons of times whereby we need to go out but have to wait for him to walk slowly back. I loathe his attitude to the max, max, max!

Yesterday, I parked the car halfway in the house to make an obvious sign that we might go out anytime. Chloe was sick and I didn't want obstruction if she needed a doctor. This irriating fellow just couldn't get the hint and stuck himself right at the gate that even a person have to squeeze to get out.

So when he came out, I ask him to at least leave a message when he want to park; what's going to happen if my ger is sick and need to go out? The man shot off a string of a absurdities; that I was rude and not his business if my ger is sick and then drove off.

Can't believe it!!
Can't believe that my father-in-law might actually feel paiseh when he complains to him.
Can't believe that I can't do anything about inflating costs and still expected to humour idiots who block my house and still think he's right! IS HE AN IDIOT OR WHAT?
